Listen To That Feeling

I went to the post office today to mail a package.  As I was taping the box, a man was talking with the postal worker and they were laughing.  He looked at me and said, "I blame her."  I had been laughing the entire time trying to tape the box.  Tapers and I don't get along.  lol
I had to fill out a form for customs too.  When I handed it to the postal worker, I told him I had never filled one out before.  He told me he has never heard someone laugh as much as me.  He looked at the form and told me I done a really good job filling it out considering how much I was laughing!  He told me to have a good day and I told him every day is a good day and he said he could tell with me that they are.
Later, I went to the deli for a few items.  As I was walking towards the door, I noticed a lady who I am accredited to saving her life.  Years ago, we were working on separate machines and our backs were to each other.  I thought I heard her call my name.  I turned around and she was holding her head.  I asked her if she was ok and she shook her head no and collapsed.  I caught her and eased her to the cement floor.   She had labored breathing and her eyes were vacant.  I made sure her airway was clear and told my fellow co-workers to call 911.  None of us knew to dial a 9 first to get an outside line and then 911.  Our supervisors were paged and the paramedics arrived.  They life flighted her to a major hospital.  She had a cerebral aneurysm that ruptured and a heart attack.  An emergency crainiotomy was performed.  She believed in Angels.  After my crainiotomy, she called me and asked if I remembered who she was.  I did remember.  We both had our crainiotomys at the same hospital.  She told me she had a bad headache at home that night and thought about staying home.  Her husband had to work that night and she told me she had a feeling to go to work.  If she would not have listened to that feeling, she would not be with us today.  I truly believe that gut wrenching feeling we get to do or not do something are Angels guiding us.  ALWAYS listen to that feeling!!!  Lots of prayers and love to ALL of you!!!

Christmas

I truly love Christmas and everything it stands for!!!  I love the decorations, smells, laughter, and seeing people I don't get to see often.  I am always amazed how fast the children have grown every time I see them!  Of course, the food is amazing too!

Colored Ice Ornaments

I saw these in a picture and thought I would try them when the weather got cold enough.  At first I tried to use water balloons...not good!  As soon as they touched the snow, they popped.  lol  I have some helium quality balloons so I used those.  I put 2 full squirts of food coloring in each balloon and filled them with cold water as much as I could and tied them and set them outside.   It took about a week of cold weather for them to freeze.  The balloons actually started coming off when they were done.  I think they look pretty good for the first time doing it.  I absolutely LOVE CHRISTmas and everything it stands for!!!

The temperature is 48F right now and most of the snow is melted.  They are pretty while they last.

Kelso

My cat Kelso just died. He came to us on Oct 30, 2004. He had been hit by a car and his right eye had to be removed. He was declawed and neutered when he came to us. He had a strong will to live. A few years later, he ran by me and out the door. I never thought I would see him again. 2 weeks later, I received a call from the vet's office saying they thought they had my cat. He had been hit by another car and was found in someone's yard twitching. The lady who found him asked the people if that was their cat. They said no and that he had been laying there for over an hour twitching! She had the compassion to take him to the vet. He had severe head injuries and was there for several days. He had to be on Solone because of his brain injuries. Whenever he tried to walk, he would spin. He eventually got to the point where he could walk and do a little spinning. If he got excited, he would spin. What a strong will to live he had!!! Rest in peace dear Kelso!!! You will enjoy Kitty Heaven!!!

ER Trip

A trip to the Emergency Room yesterday and an emergency cerebral angiogram done.  Oh how I love that test!  Not!  I had a severe migraine and I was having trouble seeing....Along with the usual double and blurry vision, I had periods of no vision.  I was scared!  It is a good thing I don't do much driving. They said the angiogram looked good and they gave me heavy meds to help me.
The Emergency Room staff was so good to me, as they always are!   I had a few of them tell me I have a positive outlook and beautiful smile considering everything I have been through and will have to go through.  I am very blessed to have the family and friends in my life who I dearly love!!!  Sometimes I hurt someone I care about with everything in me and I don't mean to.  For that, I am deeply saddened!!!  It is tough being a strong S person when I hurt.  On the flip side, when I feel good, the feeling is absolutely amazing!!!
Have a very blessed day everyone!!!
